Phab closed Friday 2nd October
Due to volunteer illness Phab is closed on Friday 2nd October. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Who we are:
We are a registered charity who run a club for people with or without disabilities which enables them to come together in a safe environment. We practice informal learning and encourage independent living.
PHAB’s aim is to promote and encourage people of all abilities to come together on equal terms, to achieve complete inclusion within the wider community.
What we provide:
We provide a weekly club night for people of all ages and abilities offering various activities in a safe and welcoming environment including table tennis, pool, various sports, cooking and crafts. Our members are fully encouraged to have a voice in their club and take ownership over what is provided. An example of this is that members decide on what activities are available each term.
We offer valuable respite to parents and carers by providing an annual 8 day residential, day trips and nights out.
All volunteers are DBS checked and hold first aid, safe guarding and various other qualifications.
Unfortunately due to low membership and Phab not receiving as much funding as we have in the past we have had to make the hard decision to open Phab every other Friday. We hope this will only be temporary and the membership will increase in the near future. The dates until Christmas are:
30th October – Closed half term
4th December – Christmas meal
